The Missouri Senate has confirmed the appointment of former Northwest Missouri State University football coach and athletic director Mel Tjeerdsma to the Northwest Missouri State Board of Regents.
Tjeerdsma's term is to expire in 2025. State Senator Dan Hegeman of Cosby sponsored Tjeerdsma's nomination to the Northwest Board. The confirmation of the nomination was voted on by the Senate Friday during their special session in Jefferson City.
